VIA Rail, 2021.

Via Rail is the main train service connecting Canada from coast to coast. 

In 2020, we all entered a new, unfamiliar reality that caught us all off-guard with lockdowns and quarantines. Quite suddenly, the movement of our lives almost came to a stop. We lost our mobility and all felt like life was at a standstill.

We decided to explore the symbolic canvas of a train station in which time has stopped, showing a world of frozen people. It’s the departure of the train that is the catalyst that brings them back to life, moving again.
